Rio 2016: French walker Yohann Diniz poos himself in epic Olympics fail
And if it’s a 50-kilometer stretch, you can imagine the plight and stamina required.
France’s Yohan Diniz celebrates after winning the men’s 50 km walk at the European athletics championships in Gothenburg (Goteborg), August 10, 2006. Yes, that’s the real spirit of the Olympics of valour and resilience.
The Frenchman, who holds the world record for the 50km walk, had reportedly been suffering with stomach problems in the build up to Friday’s race but opted to compete anyway.
At the time of writing, the race was still underway with Diniz still on his feet.
Yohann Diniz’s plight was caught on camera with brown stains running down the back of his legs after soiling his trousers midway through the contest.
But at one point he was forced to take a break from the race and removed a sponge from his shorts.
Medical help was provided to him, after he collapsed while some believed that the athlete had fainted.
Diniz certainly finished the race like a true champion.
The fighter stopped for a quick break and doused himself in water, before returning to the race minutes later. Various watchers on social media and the race commentary alluded to the possibility that Diniz had momentarily lost control of his bowel movements.
