Rise of the Tomb Raider Estimated to Take 15-20 Hours
Rise of the Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics has discussed the game’s length in a new interview, confirming that it will take around 15 to 20 hours to finish the main campaign. To get “everything done”, including completing all sidequests and collecting every weapon, you should expect to spend around 30-40 hours in the game. According to Crystal Dynamics’ Mike Brinker who is also the game’s lead designer, he claims that even if you were to spend 20 hours, you won’t be able to see and do everything the game has to offer.
With enhanced combat and stealth moves, as well as an improvement to what parts of the environment you can interact with, this looks to improve on the reboot on all counts.
If you’re just looking to run through the main story Brinker noted that it should still take you around “15-20” hours to complete, but that all depends on your playstyle.
However, he also mentioned that the “hub areas” in Rise of the Tomb Raider “have been increased by three times the size” from the first game. “We have more challenge tombs, crypts, caves, and a bunch of extra things to do like the side missions for the Remnant people, and the tomb guardians”.
Rise of the Tomb Raider will release exclusively for the Xbox One on November 10, 2015.
