Rivals unmoved by Carson’s complaints on scrutiny of his bio
“And Ben Carson was in the class, ‘” Curtis Bakal told Buzzfeed.
“About whether or not he he hit a guy with a lock, ya know, hit his mother, stabbed his cousin – I don’t know”, Graham continued. “I think many of you who have covered both the 2008 campaign and this campaign can draw your own conclusions”. “Why would he? He went to Yale!”. There was no such psychology course.
“What happened to investigative reporting?”
“Why could we find it and they could not find it?” The U.S. must do more to stop them.
Chris Christie told MSNBC this morning, “We’re responsible for the personal stories we tell about our lives and we need to be asked about them”.
Replied Carson, “What would you expect Donald Trump to say?”
“Give me a break”.
In his 1996 book “Gifted Hands”, Carson wrote, “I was offered a full scholarship to West Point”. Carson wrote in 1990 and has said for years since that he was offered a full ride to West Point (and passed it up) after having met top Vietnam general William Westmoreland when he (Carson) marched as a ROTC cadet in a Detroit Memorial Day weekend parade in 1969.
“He’s going to have to explain a lot of things away”, Trump told NBC’s “Meet the Press”. He turned down a military career in favor of medicine, a decision that benefitted untold people alive today because of Carson’s healing hands.
Mike Huckabee, a former Arkansas governor, said when he heard Carson’s complaints about the media, “I’m thinking pal, you ain’t seen nothing yet”.
“When I read about the story in the Wall Street Journal, I immediately said, to my wife and friend, ‘That was the prank we played at the Record!”. “And Ben Carson is like, ‘Bullsh*t!” “And I was very flattered by that”.
He said he was flattered by the suggestions but had already made a decision to go to college and medical school. So, that’s what happened.
“And I said, ‘That’s wonderful, ‘” he continued. “As overjoyed as I felt to be offered such a scholarship, I wasn’t really tempted”. But that was not something I wanted to take.
“But for people to try to take this and twist it and make it seem like something dishonest seems like dishonesty itself”.
Re: “Defiant Carson: Questions about West Point story are unfair”, November 7 news story. [Ben Carson Backs White House’s TPP Trade Deal, by Reid Epstein, Wall Street Journal, November 6, 2015]”In a Carson administration, I will leave no stone unturned in my efforts to secure this important step in Puerto Rico’s history – establishing Estado 51″, said the retired neurosurgeon, highlighting the strategic benefits of the Caribbean island’s location relative to the United States mainland.
Stephen Colbert chimed in on these supposed childhood friends of Carson who didn’t think he would’ve stabbed someone: “Some childhood friends – I can’t believe they would stab him in the back about whether he tried to stab them in the front”.
