Road to Boruto expansion coming to Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4
Bandai Namco has released the debut trailer for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto.
Through the good times and the bad, the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series has at least been a series of fighting games which carved a specific niche out for itself in a genre that was slowly dying and was later revived by a certain road brawler franchise.
“We’ve been developing the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja series for 15 years since the first one”, a Bandai Namco representative told Polygon in a presentation at Tokyo Game Show this week.
The “Road to Boruto” expansion will allow players to experience the game through the perspective of Naruto’s son, Boruto. He also said that “Road to Boruto” would be the last DLC for ” Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4″. The game is still very profitable for Bandai. For new players who haven’t yet purchased Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, they can purchase a full-price version of the game that includes the original Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, multiple DLC packs and the Road to Boruto expansion. It’s hard to believe it now and get ready for a dose feel-old-no jutsu, but the Ultimate Ninja Storm series has been around since 2003.
The expansion will only be available on the PS4 console in Japan, however, they do get the game earlier on February 2, 2017. For those who already own the core game, a cheaper digital-only version of the add-on will be available. It will be available for the Windows PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
While the end of the Road to Boruto trailer says February 2017, it has been revealed that the update will appear Feb. 3. More details about the upcoming expansion will soon be unveiled during the game event in Japan.
