While Rob has apparently taken the diagnosis as something of a “wake up call”, he is still unsure about the prospect of entering a rehabilitation facility – something his family are reportedly keen for him to do. The insider includes that Rob’s tests uncovered his glucose levels were high, and specialists let him know that he needs to get in shape, exercise and drastically change his eating routine, or it will deteriorate.
E! News reports that Rob is back home after being hospitalized.
“Once diabetes hits the pancreas, it means the disease has already affected the brain and heart”, Dr. Fischer explained to Radar.
The 28-year-old star felt unwell over the weekend (26-27Dec15) and eventually went to a medical centre in Los Angeles for tests.
Earlier this year, Rob had been preparing to make a comeback.
“Rob is such a great guy”, Khloe told People magazine in October. They disagreed on how to handle Rob and his reclusive attitude.
This is just the latest setback for Kardashian, who left the public spotlight more than a year ago and has since been privately dealing with extreme weight gain, as well as alleged battles with drug abuse. Moreover, he has appeared on KUWTK since 2012, wasn’t present at Kris Jenner’s extravagant “Gatsby” party, and didn’t attend Christmas with the family.
The Kardashian family has been anxious about Rob Kardashian‘s state for a long time now, and may be hoping this is the final straw that will push Rob over the edge and get him back on track in life.
