Robbers armed with knife scared off by cashier with sword
The store clerk’s sword was enough to scare away the wannabe ninjas, but he should have immediately reached for his gun.
The confrontation was caught on surveillance camera.
“Two teens dressed like ninjas and armed with what appeared to be machetes walked into the Perry Market on Perrysville Avenue in Perry South late Friday night“.
“One of the men pulled out a foot-long machete and demanded money, but the store owner pulled out his own, bigger sword and chased the duo out of the store”, NBC Philadelphia reports.
“I used this one when I see him with the sword, to make him afraid”, Jewad Hayitt said. “Then when he hit the sword that the dude had in his hand – my brother hit the sword – he ran away”.
However, the cashier was more prepared than the robber, pulling out a large sword.
Security at this convenience store is a major priority. “This is the way that you’ll end by (getting) killed or in jail”.
