Robert De Niro Says ‘F-k Trump’ Live at Tony Awards 2018
“I’m gonna say one thing, ‘F- Trump!'” the actor shouted after walking on the stage of Radio City Music Hall to introduce a performance by special Tony victor Bruce Springsteen. “Boy, do we need that now!”
De Niro threw his arms in the air defiantly as the crowd cheered and gave him a standing ovation.
And the more level-headed commenters pointed out the ultimate hollowness of De Niro’s habitual statement.

“Larry Kudlow looked like he was drunk yesterday morning on CNN, saying that Trudeau stabbed Trump in the back”, De Niro said.
The president called Trudeau “disgusting” and “weak” for how he pushed back against steep tariffs imposed by the USA on steel and aluminum imports from Canada and other trade allies.
“[Trump’s] so blatantly stupid”, he said.
“He’s a punk, a dog, he’s a pig”, he said. He’s a pig. He’s a con.
“He’s an idiot. He’s an embarrassment”. Garfield said during his acceptance speech, referencing the Supreme Court’s decision to side with a Colorado baker who refused to make a cake for a same-sex couple.
“I don’t care what he likes”.
The critically acclaimed actor was in Toronto Monday afternoon to break ground at his new Nobu Toronto development alongside celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa, which is the world’s first integrated Nobu Residences, Nobu Hotel, and Nobu Restaurant.
“After De Niro, CBS told us to do something drastic, so here we are”, Groban joked. However, people across Twitter appeared more than willing to share the uncensored versions that were broadcast in places like Australia.
After the awards show, De Niro traveled to Toronto, Ontario and publicly apologized to the Canadian people for “the idiotic behavior of my president”.
