Rock Band VR Announced For Oculus Rift
At The Game Awards 2015, Harmonix announced their newest project, Rock Band VR for the Oculus Rift. He described standing on stage, looking out at the audience, and how great that is-but we’re not actually sure how you play it in that context.
Rock Band VR presumably will act as one of flagship game for the Oculus Rift.
The Oculus Rift launches in Q1 2016, and Rock Band VR will be out sometime next year.
The trailer showed developer Harmonix working with DragonForce, the band responsible for the famously hard song “Through the Fire and Flames”. The game will likely be available for purchase in the first quarter of 2016. That will also likely mean that it’s an exclusive however, so don’t expect this to show up on the HTC Vive or other commercial VR hardware.
There was a little bit of gameplay footage that was revealed on Rock Band VR. Check out the links below for more of the major announcements from The Game Awards.
