Rock has made no decisions on Oscar monologue, says his rep

Chris Rock has written a new Academy Awards monologue, after no people of color were nominated in the major acting categories for the second year in a row.

“I think if I were Chris Rock I would not step down, because it gives me the opportunity actually to say something”, Morton said.

Chris Rock was described to have worked so hard in his 2005 hosting of the Awards show though Rock’s party has not commented on the matter.

As of late, the actors and actresses who are not attending the event this year are Will Smith and wife Jada-Pinkett Smith as well as Spike Lee. He and his writing staff locked themselves in a room.

Telecast producer Reginald Hudlin told U.S. TV show Entertainment Tonight the comedian is not pulling out of hosting, following the uproar surrounding the lack of nominations for African-Americans and minorities, but he will be changing his script to include some provocative gags about the racial debate. “He’s that brilliant, and I have 1,000 percent confidence that he will deliver something that people will be talking about for weeks”.

You should expect [#OscarsSoWhite jokes]. They’re excited about him doing that. All will be revealed on February 28th. “We will not comment further on this”. I don’t put that stress on that man. Rock’s going to go out and he’s going to address this.
