Rocker Scott Weiland’s Cause of Death Revealed
A rock singer who most recently was touring with his new band, the Wildabouts, Weiland passed away in his sleep at approximately 8.27pm.
Weiland was found dead on the tour bus for his band Scott Weiland and The Wildabouts in Minnesota on December 3. “We all know amidst the awesome & the offensive you struggled, time & time again”.
His Velvet Revolver bandmates also posted a remembrance to bassist Duff McKagan’s Facebook page. “What they truly lost on December 3rd was hope”. I won’t say he can rest now, or that he’s in a better place.
Police also reported finding Viagra, sleeping pills, Xanax, and medication for bipolar disorder on the bus.
The toxicology report for the former Stone Temple Pilots singer revealed he had cocaine, MDMA and alcohol in his system at the time of his death.
“We are angry and sad about this loss, but we are most devastated that he chose to give up”, his ex-wife wrote. The man has been released. According to the Associated Press, Bloomington Deputy Police Chief Mike Hartley said authorities won’t pursue a drug charge against Black because it would be too hard to prove the drugs belonged to him.
In the days after Weiland’s death, there were questions about his sobriety and whether the rock star, who had long battled with addiction, had fallen off the wagon.
He was jailed in 1999 for violating his probation after being convicted of heroin possession in 1998, and four years later was sentenced to three years’ probation for drug possession.
