‘Rocky’ Spinoff ‘Creed’ Debuts First Trailer
The final scene gives us Rocky and Adonis together at the gym, in front of a mirror – the place where, you meet your toughest opponent, according to the Balboa philosophy of boxing and life. People died in the ring. That’s at the heart of Rocky, too-it’s what won the first film a Best Picture Oscar-but it’s something that the franchise largely forgot as it became increasingly cartoonish.
Dodgy: Like Rocky, Adonis grew up on the “rough side of town”. Who knows, it looks like the story will revolve around him, and that’s what I wanted.

All in all, it’s looking like an intense drama with an underlying sense of history to it. And that could help considerably with making this an engaging, gripping continuation in the Rocky saga. Sly: The camera turns to face the man Adonis is talking to: Sylvester Stallone. Adonis is determined to make his own way, but at some point he seems to want to connect with his roots, leading him to the restaurant fans saw Rocky managing in 2006’s “Rocky Balboa“. “‘Its about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward”.’. It appears Balboa will become Adonis’ trainer as the young boxer’s career starts to take off.
