Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort said the Clinton camp was trying to distract from its party discord ahead of the convention. He says it’s no coincidence the emails are coming out on the eve of the party’s nominating convention in Philadelphia.

Democratic National Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz said Sunday afternoon that she would quit as head of the party this week, after leaked emails appeared to show bias against Bernie Sanders during his primary challenge to Hillary Clinton.
After the DNC released a slightly trimmed list of superdelegates – those are the party officials who can back any candidate – it now takes 2,382 delegates to formally clinch the nomination.
Of Utah’s 37 delegates, 29 are Sanders supporters, including two superdelegates.
The furore was a blow to a party keen on projecting stability in contrast to the volatility of Republican candidate Donald Trump, who was formally nominated at a raucous convention last week, and overshadowed preparations in Philadelphia for Clinton’s coronation as the nominee to face Trump in the November 8 US presidential election.
Sanders, who has endorsed Clinton and will speak on her behalf to the convention on Monday, said he would have preferred she pick U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren of MA, a favourite of the party’s liberal wing, as her No. 2.
