Romo active as backup on Thanksgiving for 1st time since ’05

Thanksgiving 2012 seemed to represent the full-on coming-out party of Robert Griffin III, who, after using his legs to confound opponents for the first half of his rookie season, seemed to blossom fully. It’s also necessary. Good thing none of these matchups are particularly great, so there should be ample opportunities without missing anything too critical live.

Bang enough defenders in the first half and Elliott believes they grow tired of tackling him in the second half. “First things first, we got to take the ball out of Zeke’s hand and keep that o-line from getting up the field on us and hopefully we can get them to pass the ball and get up in the lead where they can’t run the ball and be aggressive”.

The Giants have reeled off six wins in a row, and unless the earth stops spinning on its axis, they will make it seven in a row Sunday when they go to winless Cleveland.

Elliott didn’t get down after the game because the Cowboys got the win. Detroit defeated Jacksonville 26-19 in Week 11 and is the first team in National Football League history to have each of its first 10 games decided by seven points or fewer.

With all of that said, here are a few players to keep an eye on in the game. It appears as though too many people dismissed the Redskins and Kirk Cousins as a fluke previous year; they are backing up their division title and are a legit threat to repeat as champs should the Cowboys and Giants falter. Washington erased an early 17-0 deficit and took a 20-19 lead in the fourth quarter but couldn’t hold it.
