Romo throws in practice for 1st time since August injury

The 36-year-old Romo worked in several individual drills in shorts and a T-shirt with his teammates in full pads. It’s the Eagles vs Cowboys in Arlington, TX. His most notable effort came in Week Two, when Romo threw passes before the team’s win at Washington. “And I think they both prepare extremely well”. “I’m thrilled with the guys we have and going to work with them every day”.

His performance has been incredible so far, and Romo is too good, and gets paid too much money to be second string.

Indeed, the Eagles defense has been among the best in the NFL. The Cowboys also had an extra week to prepare for this game and are expected to get Dez Bryant back. But nickel cornerback Ron Brooks will miss the season with a ruptured right quad tendon. Sure, Cole Beasley is having the best year of his football life and Jason Witten is still Jason Witten.

I really like the Cowboys in this game. Most teams haven’t figured out how to stop him yet this year. Obviously, it’s going to be played up into something. Wentz’s play has tailed off of late.

RUN DEFENSE: B – The Cowboys don’t do anything that wows you on defense. If neither suits up next weekend, Cincinnati has some weapons to potentially exploit that vulnerability including wide receiver A.J. Green and tight end Tyler Eifert who just returned this past weekend from injury. He was on a bye last week and replaced his fellow rookie signal caller Carson Wentz of the Philadelphia Eagles. The game is there for the taking for sure, but it will take a total effort on the part of the offense, defense, and coaches to get it done.

Let’s not forget to mention Eagles offensive lineman Lane Johnson is suspended. “It’s the division. We embrace it because that’s what it is”.

Romo was originally scheduled to return against the Eagles this week, but the way Prescott is producing, the Cowboys may just be giving Romo more time to heal (and delaying any possible quarterback decision). While that doesn’t seem to be giving him any issues, the back is still not quite where it needs to be. Rodney McLeod leads the Philadelphia Eagles with 43 tackles, Brandon Graham has four sacks and Nigel Bradham has one interception.

Wentz is finally starting to look like a rookie, which is okay in his development but not so much for fantasy players. Just remember Sproles is a speedster and DGB can be as well. The Eagles are 0-2 in their only two hard road games – they beat the 1-5 Bears in Chicago – and Sunday’s visit will be their toughest test up to this point. Although, the Cowboys defense isn’t like the Vikings, they still find ways to rush the quarterback.

There was no doubt that Wentz played well in his one quarter of playing time in the Senior Bowl. He was calm in Lambeau, make him scared in Dallas.
