Ronda Rousey keeps promise, attends Marine Corps Ball
Ronda Rousey has insisted her and UFC President Dana White’s conflicting views on presidential candidate Donald Trump won’t get in the way of their working relationship, saying “politics isn’t part of our conversations”. Rousey looked like she had a good time as many pictures have been posted of her posing with all the Marines in attendance.
Despite the upset, Rousey boarded a plane to SC, telling gossip website TMZ, “It’s an honor to be asked”.
On the day of the ball, Rousey was videoed making her way to SC by TMZ. Rousey posted a smiling photo of herself with Haschert at the ball on Instagram with the caption, “Thank you Lance Cpl”.
The 28-year-old was referring to her shock defeat by Holly Holm, which she she said last week she is still “really f*****g sad” about. Honestly, I’d probably stay on my couch, crying and eating ice cream if he hadn’t asked me. And now, she’ll have plenty of marines cheering her on when she takes on Holm after the Marine Corp Ball.
“Who knows if I’m going to pop my teeth out or break my jaw or rip my lip open again?” Rousey and Holm have expressed interest in a possible rematch at UFC 200 in 2016.
Fresquez also said he didn’t know if “Ronda would be ready for a fight in July”.
It’s probably best she saves her energy for the highly-anticipated rematch with Holm!
