Ronda Rousey’s Mother Calls Edmond Tarverdyan “Terrible Coach”, “Bad Person”
She won probably 99% of the judo matches she ever fought in.
Today, Rousey is trained by Edmond Tarverdyan and a few MMA fans believe that he’s the reason for Rousey’s success as opposed to the early training by De Mars. DeMars said that Tarverdyan was a bad person, a bad coach, among other things. I try to look at myself and be like, ‘Looking awesome.’ I say that to myself all the time… “I think that’s one really effective way to change the societal standard women are held to”. I think he’s a awful coach, I think he hit the lottery when Ronda walked in there.
In fact, the 28-year-old says she planned to lose weight for a commercial shoot she did in the past, but made a decision to do just the opposite thanks to someone’s critical commentary about her body.
However, after it led her to becoming one of the greatest athletes in the world, she’s learned to accept her body and appreciate it. Somebody like that is a awful coach and I think she stays there because like somebody pitches a no-hitter when they’re wearing red underwear and they wear that red underwear for everyday, and I think it’s superstition and I would caution anybody from going there.
Browne, at 200cm and 115kgs, isn’t the type of guy you want to upset, so Haschert only had kind words for Rousey’s new squeeze when asked if he would fight Browne over Rousey. “And I think it’s bad he uses her to lure people in”.
When Rousey confirmed her relationship she tried to say as little as possible because she is not one to talk about the people close to her so publicly. Or, will she split from Tarverdyan and search for a new camp? That being said, we’ve seen the fighter mature in her years away from De Mars, which is where Tarverdyan has helped her. She may have even found a better technical coach, but there seems to be something about Edmond that works for Ronda and there’s something to be said for her loyalty to him.
