Rooney goal gives Man Utd victory over Liverpool

(CNN)Wayne Rooney scored for the fourth consecutive game to give Manchester United a vital 1-0 victory over bitter north-west rival Liverpool at Anfield Sunday.

At the other end Liverpool were only slightly more threatening, but only really tested United keeper David De Gea with two risky efforts from Roberto Firmino and Emre Can in the second half.
