Rory McIlroy reflects on eventful end to 2015

Rory McIlroy has confirmed he is engaged to Erica Stoll.

The 26-year-old Northern Irish professional golfer and his love attended The Paddy Wallace Fund for Autism fundraiser Thursday, where Stoll’s new diamond ring was visible on her left hand.

She added a pair of lace heels with a nude base topped with the black overlay – giving the simplistic look an interesting pop of detail.

The sportsman was first seen with Erica, 27, as they celebrated last New Year’s Eve, and she’s been since been regularly seen watching him in golf tournaments.

Whether fair or not, some blamed a poor run of play during McIlroy’s engagement to Wozniacki on a lack of focus due to outside distractions involved with wedding planning.

The couple were in the French capital last week, when Rory posted an image of the Eiffel Tower, on his social media pages, where reports have suggested the surprise proposal took place.

“Laser eye surgery went well”.

McIlroy is scheduled to play in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship on January 21-24.

McIlroy failed to win any of golf’s majors this year but was crowned the Race to Dubai victor on the European Tour after wins in the Dubai Desert Classic, the WGC Matchplay and the DP World Tour Championship in 2015.
