Rosario Dawson is Mom To12-Year-Old Girl

The Sin City actress, Rosario Dawson adopted a 12-year old girl. The first-time parent is over the moon and officially in the ranks of hottest moms from Hollywood.

She is best known for the star making role in Kids. Dawson is also working with Chris Rock in the flick Top Five. She will soon appear on Netflix’s Daredevil as Claire Temple, a nurse who helps the lead character in a time of need.

Dawson, who was adopted by her stepfather when she was 1, always expressed her desire to adopt children. The cause is therefore close to Rosario’s heart. The star confessed that not knowing her biological dad hasn’t bothered her much as her stepfather Greg Dawson stepped in to fill the void and took care of her.

In 2008, she once revealed to Latina magazine: “I always wanted to adopt kids ’cause my Dad adopted me. That idea has stayed in the back of my head, but lately, I’ve been thinking about it more. My mother and grandmother are extraordinary women, and they’re getting older. It struck me recently that one day I might be sitting around with my children, going ‘Your grandma was an amazing woman; I really wish you could’ve known her.’ That makes me sad ’cause it would be a waste to not have these people know each other. Whatever time I have, I want it.”

This 35-years-old Trance star splits from Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle last year. A family oriented person, Dawson wants to share a relationship with her adopted daughter just like she had with her mom. Dawson is also involved in charity events and in the past sat as an event chair for OrphanAid Africa.
