Rosie O’Donnell’s ‘alienated’ dad dies battling cancer
Rosie O’Donnell has suffered tremendously in the past week, having finally been reunited with her missing daughter in addition to her dad passing away.
The comedian’s dad, Edward O’Donnell – who worked as an aerospace electrical engineer for Fairchild, Schlumberger & Grumman – died of cancer, in accordance to Us Weekly.
O’Donnell later turned her daughter’s phone over to police, who investigated it.
“The statute of constraints needs to wear off. [When] you get the chance to be 50 years of age you can’t even now be irate at what your dad did in 1970”, she said.
Rosie’s relationship with her father was not an easy one, however.
Thankfully, police found her daughter alive and out of harm Tuesday afternoon.
On Friday (21Aug15), Steven Sheerer, 25, was arrested in connection with Chelsea’s disappearance, and faces charges of child endangerment and distribution of obscenity to a minor.
While the statement didn’t specifically identify the minor, Barnegat police said Chelsea O’Donnell had been discovered in Sheerer’s home. But a spokeswoman for O’Donnell said the case involves the star’s daughter, Chelsea.
Several hours after O’Donnell sent out the tweet, the 17-year-old was found in good condition in New Jersey, according to CBS New York. He’s being held on $40,000 bail. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
Interestingly, though Chelsea had fled on August 11, reports indicate she was in contact with her family and perhaps it was the device that she used to communicate, that allowed police to zero-in on her location.
