Rosie Perez Quits ‘The View’ Early Over Kelly Osbourne Latino Comments
Before she could finish her thought, Kelly was interrupted by Rosie Perez, the first-ever Latina to be featured as permanent co-host on the show.
But she wasn’t happy about it. That’s when she made the decision to leave “The View” prematurely.
Seeing all the drama, producers cut in and urged Rosie to apologize to Kelly for over-reacting, the minute they went back on the air.
“She and the ABC executives had it out”, an insider told MailOnline. “She was yelling at them at the top of her lungs that their demands were disrespectful”, a source said, according to Wonderwall. “She’s disgusting”. “It can also be used as a racially coded critique on the work ethic of black and other native-born workers of color”, said Mónica Novoa, communications director at the New York Committee for Occupational Safety and Health, an organization working to improve workplaces.
Sources behind the scenes say the dispute eventually sparked a screaming match with the producers, and Rosie ended up quitting the remainder of Season 18!
Rosie also reportedly left for good and referred to the studio as “this s-thole of a place!”
The View cast will look quite different this fall.
Lamented the golden child live on air after realizing she had just trod in a pile of self inflected manure: ‘I didn’t mean it like that! Rosie was clearly uncomfortable, with Osbourne quickly trying to backpedal and clear up her statement.
The Daily Mail, one of the most heavily trafficked “news” websites on the planet, publishes stories about ABC’s “The View” using a fake byline for a person who doesn’t exist.
Perez did tweet an apology on her official account earlier this month, but later told executives she was done with the show and stormed out, according to the Daily Mail.
Kelly Osbourne, of course, made headlines last week with her controversial comments on Latinos. But the way she did so raised quite a few eyebrows.
Kelly said, “If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?”
“#QueridaKellyObsourne”, which translates to “Dear Kelly Osbourne“.

She later apologized, and Perez was certainly put off by the remark. “I adore you. @TheView”, Perez wrote.
Kelly: ‘Hey world watch me make an unqualified jack ass of myself …’ “My disdain should go to only Donald Trump, so I’m sorry, darling”. Perez then released another tweet explaining herself: “I tweeted at #KellyOsbourne in an effort to help keep her from spiraling after her unfortunate comment”.
