Rough Reviews for MSNBC’s Donald Trump Town Hall
“Morning Joe” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski will moderate a town hall at 8 p.m. Wednesday with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, MSNBC announced Tuesday, thus setting the stage for a ratings battle against CNN’s already scheduled Republican town hall.
One side actively seeks to deliberately murder civilians and celebrate bloodshed. “He can’t do anything about it” because he does not understand it”, Trump said. It is a very, very tough agreement to make.
“With Donald Trump, everything is upside down and every day is ‘Opposite Day, ‘” Brzezinski said.
Earlier during the town hall, “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough challenged Trump on his recent criticism of President George W. Bush’s handling of intelligence before the September 11, 2001, terror attacks.
“I would say if you can do that deal you can do any deal”, he added.
One, identifying herself as a college student concerned about tuition costs, said, “I was just wondering, since there’s so much going on in the rest of the campaign, umm, I was just wondering how you are going to…like…what are your thoughts on Bernie’s higher education plan and how he’s going to reduce the cost?” So I don’t want to say whose fault it is. Because if I do win, there has to be a certain amount of surprise, unpredictability, our country has no unpredictability.
Trump said in December he would start working on a deal between the two sides within the first six months of taking office if elected.
“Let me be sort of a neutral guy, let’s see what – I’m going to give it a shot”.
Though he wouldn’t reveal his biases, Trump reiterated what a “very prominent Israeli” told him about the roots of the conflict. “I’m talking about negotiating with them”.
Trump previously touted his pro-Israel bona fides in an attempt to connect with an audience of wealthy Jewish donors at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s Presidential Forum. Trump also planned a trip to Israel in December to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but subsequently canceled it.
