Rousey Plans To Take Time Off, Holm Ready For Rematch
Despite Rousey’s brutal knockout loss, Cyborg still plans on cutting down to 140 pounds for her upcoming fight, and is interested in fighting Rousey even though she thinks Holm will win whenever they rematch.
While many went and poked fun at and got their two cents in on Rousey via various memes and comments, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. was not among the haters.
“I don’t think it’s cool how everyone is trolling her on social media”, Mayweather said. “He want me to do the dirty work”.
“That’s not true at all”, Mayweather told Fight Hype. He doesn’t have anything against MMA fighters.
“I just wanted to thank everyone for the love and support”, Rousey wrote on Instagram. “That was a great test for her, and look at how she came back, she came back a multi-time world champion”. “I’d like to see him pretend to not know who I am now”. It’s the little small things in contact sports that can take you to that next level.
“Everything happens for a reason”, Mayweather added. She’ll be okay. You know, but I’m waiting for the comeback of Jon Jones and the other guy that Jon Jones faced before [Daniel Cormier]. This was already written.
“I do think that I come from a more humble spot”, Holm said.
Nearly as immediately as the fight was over, talk began about a rematch, with Holm telling ESPN she’d “absolutely” give Rousey one. “I’d take that I did it dominantly, but that doesn’t mean that I wish harm or any hate on her”, yhe 34-year-old champ said.
Holly Holm pulled off one of the biggest upsets in UFC history when she knocked out Rousey in the second round to claim the UFC world bantamweight title. She had a ideal, flawless game plan.
