Royal Wedding: Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank release official photos
Eugenie wears a Zac Posen dress with earrings given to her by the groom.
The princess also wore – as a hair slide – a wheat-ear brooch, first commissioned in 1830 for William IV, and passed down to Queen Victoria and eventually the Queen.
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank will be heading off on honeymoon as is traditional for all married couples.
Ninth-in-line to the throne Eugenie said “I do” to Jack, who she has been dating since 2010, in front of 850 of their closest friends and family, including the surgeon who operated on the princess’ spine as a child.
Britain’s Princess Eugenie married tequila executive Jack Brooksbank in a star-studded royal wedding Friday at St. George’s Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle.
The princess also wore a lovely tiara made of emeralds and diamonds pavé-set in platinum, which was originally owned by the Queen Mother and lent to her by Queen Elizabeth II.
She and Prince Andrew divorced after the images shocked the nation.
The Duchess of York, best known as Fergie, and her ex-husband, took on separate duties at Princess Eugenie’s wedding, each tending to a different daughter.
She broke with tradition, opting to go without a veil and arriving at the chapel with her face in full view and the Greville emerald tiara on show.
In the caption of the post, the mother of three daughters she shares with “Die Hard” actor Bruce Willis, joked that she finally joined the social media bandwagon thanks to her girls who were “desperate” to get her “into the InstaSwing”.
Princess Beatrice seemed to be very lackadaisical as her sister’s maid of honour but there is speculation that she was given another task on the big day.
After the ceremony, the happy couple waved to well-wishers during a carriage procession through Windsor, before heading to their afternoon reception hosted by the Queen.
Eugenie, 28, works at a contemporary art gallery.
A gorgeous photo of the newlyweds was released by the Royal Family overnight, along with official photos including those of the bridal party and one including the Queen and Prince Philip.
