Rubio could see campaign fortunes rise from Iowa finish
A relaxed and confident former secretary of state answered questions from voters after clinching the narrowest win in Iowa caucus history with 49.8 percent of the vote compared to 49.6 percent for Sanders.
Trump finished second to Ted Cruz, despite polls that showed the real estate mogul ahead.
“It is no surprise that Donald is throwing yet another temper tantrum – or, if you’d like, yet another ‘Trumpertantrum, ‘ It seems that his reaction to everything is to throw a fit, to engage in insults”, Cruz told reporters in New Hampshire.
Donald Trump surprised many observers with the gracious, nearly humble tone he struck after his defeat in Monday night’s Iowa caucuses.
New Hampshire Democrats are also largely firm in their decision to back a particular candidate; 74 percent say that they will definitely vote for the candidate they have chosen, while the remaining quarter believe they could change their minds. “He said the man has just left the race and he said it during the caucus… the problem with politics is that we have all these dishonest politicians”.
On Monday night, Cruz’s campaign noticed a report from CNN that said Carson was going to head home to Florida for a few days and aides interpreted the story as he was pulling out of the presidential race. Trump said those who would vote for Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders will come around to the Trump camp.
Ted Cruz’s win in Iowa was a game-changer. The email also encouraged to “inform any Carson caucus goers of this news and urge them to caucus for Cruz”. Tyler said the Cruz team “as a campaign” never alleged Carson was dropping out.
Marco Rubio (FL), who is surging after coming in a close third in Iowa, there are several more candidates looking for a win in New Hampshire.
“People didn’t talk about my second place [finish]”, he said.
But Trump didn’t stop there as he leveled other claims against Cruz, including that the Texas senator falsely suggested he supported Obamacare.
But Mr Trump turned this afternoon, accusing Mr Cruz of lying to and defrauding voters.
“Some people thought the debate, you know, not doing the debate might have been a positive for perhaps my opponents”, Trump said.
