Rubio: Trump’s immigration plan ‘makes no sense’
Caught in his hypocrisy, Rubio tried to dig his means out, “Not true”.
“Everyone needs to run their own campaign”, Rubio told CNN’s Jamie Gangel in an interview that aired Sunday on “State of the Union”.
But he rejects the idea that Clinton’s campaign – which many believe has been on a hot streak lately following an appearance on “Saturday Night Live”, a well-received debate performance and Vice President Joe Biden’s decision to not seek the White House – ended the week on a high note following her lengthy testimony before the House Select Committee on Benghazi.
“People may think she had a good week, I think this is the week it was proven she lied about Benghazi”, he said.
On Trump’s immigration policy Rubio said, “What he’s saying now borders on the absurd”.
Among other things, Trump has called for the deportation of every single person who came into the USA illegally, saying he would let the “wonderful cases” back into the country.
When Floridians sent him to the U.S. Senate in 2010, he vowed that all he wanted to do was serve the people of Florida which was his only intention; but now, not even after Marco Rubio has completed his first term in office, he is complaining of how he has written bills and even co-sponsored a few proposals all of which have gotten nowhere and his cry is he can’t get anything done as a senator–so he wants to be president and if he can’t be president, he’s going to take his marbles and go home. “His plan makes no sense”.
Still, he said, he doesn’t think Trump has proved “an understanding of these issues or the preparation to be commander in chief of the most powerful military force in the world”.
He added, “I will support the nominee but I’m comfortable it’s not going to be Trump”. I’m increasingly confident it’s going to be me.
“I love the Hispanics”, he said, just as he loves “the blacks”, Neil Young, the Tea Party and Iowa.
