Ruby Rose To Host 2015 MTV EMAs With Ed Sheeran
No, wait – he’s co-hosting, with Orange Is The New Black Season 3 star Ruby Rose.
“Harry was 16 when I first met him”, Sheeran said to MTV, “but now he’s 21 and has written with everyone in the world and learned how to write songs”.
Sheeran’s good friend Taylor Swift looks set to take home a few awards after being nominated in nine categories.
Both Ed and Ruby have a hard act to follow, as the 2014 ceremony, which was hosted by Nicki Minaj, was “most widely distributed show in MTV EMA history’ after getting a 17% increase in ratings”. Fans are able to cast their vote for “Best Live”, “Best New”, “Best Collaboration” and more ahead of the big night.
Ed is up for two gongs – Best Male and Best Live Act – and other double nominees are Ellie, Katy Perry, Jess Glynne, James Bay, Kanye West, Pharrell, One Direction, Major Lazer and Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars for their worldwide smash “Uptown Funk”.
Sunday, 25th October, is the date for this year’s EMAs, which will take place in the Mediolanum Forum in Milan.
MTV has confirmed that global superstar Ed Sheeran will be hosting the 2015 MTV EMAs in Milan, Italy on October 26 at 4am (Malaysian time).
