Rummenigge wants Vidal at Bayern
Bayern Munich have reportedly agreed terms to sign Chilean attacker Arturo Vidal from Juventus.
TV station Sky Italia says the Chile global could move to the Bundesliga champions for an initial fee of 36million euros (£25m) and that deal could be completed in the next 24 hours.
Pep looking to bolster an already over-crowded midfield?
Italian champions Juve have received a €40m (£28m) bid from Bayern for the player, an amount which they are expected to accept.
Papers in Chile seem confident Arturo Vidal will leave Juventus for Bayern Munich.
The 28-year-old midfielder has been the subject of much speculation this summer, although Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta appeared to rule out an exit last week. However, the Old Lady could also look to spend the Vidal money in their pursuit of Juan Cuadrado of Chelsea or Alex Sandro of FC Porto.
With Schweinsteiger off on his English adventure now, Vidal’s presence in Bavaria will add a rather unexpected wrinkle to Bayern during the 2015-16 season.
Vidal, 28, is one of the most highly rated and in-demand midfielders in the soccer world.
Bayern were close to reaching an agreement with Vidal before his move to Turin, after which then-president Uli Hoeness criticised him for “breaking his word”.
