Rumors Claim Huawei Ascend Mate Set To Be Unveiled On September 2
With Samsung pulling out of IFA this year and opting for hosting its own event, you may be left wondering if there’s anything worth looking forward to at this year’s tech show in Berlin. He further speculated that the alleged device might belong to the company’s D series of devices. Two leaks have shown up on Twitter today, one press render from Evan Blass and another picture of a pre-release device running AnTuTu benchmark tests from Steve Hemmerstoffer. If you were to look at design alone, you might think this is perhaps the next generation Huawei Ascend Mate device. That being said, the latest rumor suggests that Huawei Mate 8 will feature Force Touch Technology, implying that Huawei also wants to incorporate the latest tech in its handsets like Apple. Which is a bit interesting, considering that’s something Apple has and is using in the Macbook they announced earlier this year. According to some of its reported specs, this new device could be the answer to all those oversized handsets we’ve been seeing in recently.
Huawei Ascend Mate 7 successor coming soon? Lately, the Chinese OEM has been giving the US market a go, offering up a few of their flagship devices unlocked on Amazon with US friendly radio bands.
Huawei has not confirmed the Mate 7 Plus or Huawei Mate 7 Mini specifications. Which of these devices – if any – will make its way stateside remains to be seen, but given Huawei’s recent push, we wouldn’t be surprised to see one of these popup on Amazon in the near future.
This indicates that Force Touch technology is not going to be present in Huawei Mate 8. With the back having the camera as well as the fingerprint sensor.
Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has posted teaser images on Weibo, hinting at the upcoming launch of a new handset called the Huawei Honor 7i, which is likely to sport a sliding camera. Typically Huawei’s cameras have been pretty good. Little else was known about the device, but thanks to a new teaser we have a name and a date for the announcement.
