Earlier this month Amazon told its customers to throw away unsafe hoverboards with U.K trading standards seizing 15,000 products.
A highly-sought after toy this Christmas, the self-balancing motorised boards gained media attention when they were banned from several airlines in Australia, the United States and the UK due to fire concerns over their lithium ion batteries. “We understand your frustration, however please appreciate that safety is our number one priority”.
He added that he would never fly Virgin Australia again, because both he and his kids were offloaded from their flight as a result. “We hope to see you on board again soon”.
“Why did you not inform me when I booked my ticket?”
As Celibrity Insider report- Russell Crowe then tweeted the airline, asking where its “duty of responsibility” was.
Virgin Australia sent Crowe another series of tweets, saying the information was outlined in the booking confirmation and check-in reminder emails. However, a spokewoman for Virgin Australia said the airline had announced the devices would be banned on their Facebook and Twitter pages on December 18.
He tweeted the same question 11 minutes later, telling the team behind the official account that he was “awaiting your reply”.
The 51-year-old told a reporter he had “dead ears” and walked out of an interview when his Nottinghamshire accent in Robin Hood was criticised.
