Russia doping crisis: Russian athletes continued cheating in the midst of

Dick Pound, the former WADA president and chairman of the independent commission that produced the 320-page report on Russia’s doping, told The Denver Post that the IAAF, track and field’s world governing body, and the worldwide Olympic Committee would ultimately determine whether the country can participate in the Olympics.
The Russian Anti-Doping Agency has been suspended by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) for non-compliance. Andersen is in charge of the IAAF’s probe into Russia’s track team in the wake of the report about corruption in the country’s track and anti-doping programs. “I’m usually very cautious and, when I’m investigating criminals, usually they disguise their paths, but we heard from athletes saying, “I don’t care as nothing will happen as usual”.
“We will continue to harshly punish for doping and will not cover up anybody”.
Pavel Kolobkov, deputy sports minister for Russian Federation, said implementing the criteria that WADA will set will allow Russian Federation to improve its anti-doping efforts.
There’s healthy debate about whether they can really all happen between now and next August, when the Olympics start in Rio de Janeiro.

Mutko said on Thursday that the sports ministry was poised to jointly conceive a roadmap with WADA to get the country back on track. “Nobody has turned around and said “By the way, this is how we are going to pay for it”. “The clean athletes can’t be lost from sports events”.

Also on the list were Israel and Andorra, while Argentina, Bolivia and Ukraine were declared noncompliant for using non-accredited laboratories.
“That’s why I specifically said go to the government first they are keen on it, it would appear, now please put your hands in your pockets and let’s have a few additional resources”.
RUSADA said it was already addressing the “deficiencies” identified in WADA’s report. The World Anti-Doping Agency would take over responsibility for an independent programme.
