Russian Federation Blocked Israeli Overflight of Syria, Lebanon
Activists say Russian airstrikes have killed dozens of people in a Syrian coastal province. The activists say the airstrikes, which began Monday afternoon and lasted several hours, also wounded scores.
In a live televised interview, Davutoglu said the drone may have belonged to the forces of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, the Kurdish PYD militia, or other forces. On Sunday, the regime captured one additional village and U.S.-backed rebels destroyed two regime tanks using American-supplied weapons as they tried to stem the regime’s progress.

Russia has stepped up its air strikes, conducting nearly 90 bombing raids in one 24-hour period. “The Russian bombers carried out 39 combat sorties and performed 60 strikes on 51 objects in Hama, Latakia, Damascus and Aleppo provinces from the Hmeymim airbase”.
Although Russia’s involvement was received with much fanfare, “changes on the ground are rather minimal”, said Karim Bitar of the Paris-based Institute for worldwide and Strategic Relations.
Russia and Iran, has said there is no military solution”.
