Russian Federation torpedoing Beauty and Beast over ‘gay moment?’
As the “Beauty and the Beast” reboot gets closer and closer to release, the promotional surprises just keep coming.
Josh Gad has revealed that his gay character in the Beauty and The Beast live-action remake will have an “incredible moment”.
In the re-make, the manservant character of LeFou exhibits attraction towards his master, Gaston.
But Russia’s ministry of culture slammed the contemporary take on the family classic, saying that it contradicts Russian’s anti-gay stance and legalisation put in place to protect minors from “gay propaganda”. Milonov was one of the champions of that law.

The Disney Company is also taking heat for airing its first on-screen same-sex kissing scene last week in the animated children’s program Star vs. the Forces of Evil.
“To be exhibited in Russian Federation, a movie has to be issued an exhibition license, which also states age restrictions, if any”, THR explained.
Normally, anything found to contain “gay propaganda” would need to be given an 18+ rating. After all, in the noted scene “Be Our Guest”, the foods displayed are nearly certainly not permitted under Russian patriotic food sanctions.
Homosexual-hating apparatchiks in Russian Federation are putting an ugly face on the remake of Beauty and the Beast.
A drive-in theater in rural Alabama also announced that it would not be showing the flick because the character LeFou, who’s Gaston’s loyal sidekick, reportedly dances with another man near the end of the movie. “Oh, god. Can I just tell you?”
The owners acknowledged that there may be some who will disagree with the decision, but they emphasized that they will not compromise on the teachings of the Bible. That’s fine. We are first and foremost Christians. We will not compromise on what the Bible teaches. You saw the movie, yeah?
