Davutoglu insisted Turkey did not know the nationality of the plane it downed inside Turkish air space.
“No one can blame Turkey, no one can expect an apology from Turkey”, Davutoglu said in the speech, which was televised on Turkish television.
“Those who believe that economic sanctions against an honorable nation like Turkey can bring it to its knees will be mistaken”, Davutoglu said.

According to Lavrov, Kerry said that the USA will examine the reports of the Russian Ministry of Defense about Turkey and the illegal oil trade.
The Russian minister also stated that a list of opposition and terrorist groups in Syria should be made as soon as possible, as this was a requirement “without which it is impossible to continue the process”.
The Russian plane crashed in northern Syria and a crew commander, Oleg Peshkov, was killed by Turkmen groups while descending with a parachute.
“Neither our conscience, nor our history, nor our morals could have allowed (the plane) to bomb innocent people by violating (our border)”, Davutoglu said. “Let’s reinforce our friendship by not preventing our Russian friends from coming to Turkey but enabling more Turks to go to Russia”, he said.
