Crews from multiple agencies continued the search Sunday in El Dorado County for a missing Bay Area high school teacher.
Anyone with information about Cavanaugh’s disappearance is urged to call the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office at 530-621-6600.
The search continues for a San Francisco high school teacher who went missing during a dirt biking trip over a week ago.
Gentle Blythe, spokeswoman for San Francisco Unified School District, said the school is anxious about Cavanaugh, a popular veteran teacher.
Search and rescue crews from Stanislaus, Shasta and Sacramento counties have joined the El Dorado Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team in their attempt to find Cavanaugh.
The trail system is in the Georgetown Divide area between the communities Mosquito and Garden Valley. Cavanaugh was going to use the trail system to return to a home he owns in the area. His camping gear was still at his cabin and as reported by the post, it’s not typical for him to take off for a period of time without letting someone know of his whereabouts. Although in good health, Cavanaugh is diabetic, as mentioned by the campaign page. As for his facial profile, he is said to be bald with a gray mustache.
