Sabres’ Evander Kane charged with harassment at bar
Evander Kane voluntarily surrendered to Buffalo police this morning and was handcuffed and charged with criminal trespass and harassment in connection with an incident at a Buffalo bar last month.
Kane will be charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass and “up to four counts of non-criminal counts of harassment”, his attorney, Paul Cambria, told The Buffalo News.
According to WGRZ, Kane “was processed at Central Booking and issued an appearance ticket”.
Earlier this year, Kane was cleared of criminal wrongdoing in a sexual encounter he had with a woman he met at another downtown bar. Kane allegedly put his hands on the four people during the incident, including grabbing one of the women by her throat.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
“Obviously, it wasn’t necessary”, Cambria said.
Kane has been with the Sabres since being traded from the Winnipeg Jets during the 2014-15 season.
When asked if he expects Kane to remain on the Sabres, his lawyer responded, “Why not?” The bar’s general manager, David Robida, said that Kane was not involved in an altercation that night, but that his friend was. The veteran forward did not play in his first game with the club until last season, however, as he sat out the remainder of the preceding season with injury.
