Sachin Tendulkar’s Son Arjun is England’s Secret Weapon for the Ashes
Sachin Tendulkar ” s son Arjun “bowling’ to the England cricket team during net session at Lord’s has attracted a lot of interest, both in the Indian and English media.

This is not the first time that the youngster was seen practicing with the big boys as he has had a similar experience with the Indian cricket team in the past but his presence in the England nets took many by surprise. He is a left-handed medium pace bowler and with the Aussies possessing the likes of Mitchell Starc and Mitchell Johnson, this was seen as ideal practice material for the host batsmen.
Arjun Tendulkar is an enthusiastic teenager who is believed to have a good cricketing mind.
His father Sachin may have bludgeoned pacers out of the park, but the 15-year-old ensured his bowling left the English batsmen nodding their heads in respect.
He is also one of the regulars at the indoor school at Lord’s and was invited by MCC to join a group of bowlers for throwing to the England team in preparation for the test match.
Neil Burns, the former county keeper who now mentors several players and is a friend of the Tendulkar family, made the initial request. “Neil Burns contacted me and asked if Arjun could watch practice yesterday, which I agreed to and then he asked if he could bowl today”.
England all-rounder Ben Stokes shakes hands with Arjun Tendulkar. Arjun, however, seems to have sharpened his bowling skills after a chat with Pakistan legend Wasim Akram during the IPL this year. I gave him some general tips about fitness and wrist position. He swung the ball in to the right handlers and away from the left handers.
