Sacramento pastor: Orlando mass shooting victims “deserve what they got”
“As a Christian, we shouldn’t be sad or upset”, Jimenez said in his sermon, which was posted online to YouTube. “I think that helps society”, Jimenez said of the massacre. “I think Orlando, Florida’s a little safer tonight”, he said to the congregation in front of him, KTLA sister station KTXL reported.
“All I’m saying is that when people die who deserve to die, it’s not a tragedy”, he said. And I’m not telling people they should go do this…
“I don’t regret anything that I said, and I don’t take back anything that I said”, Mr. Jimenez told KCRA News.
The sermon drew fast condemnation from many circles.
Meanwhile, an official who worked on social integration in a Mexican state has caused further outrage by saying that it was a shame “only” 50 people died in the worst mass shooting in USA history. “We don’t need to be mourning his death either”.
“In America, we are no longer allowed to have an opinion”, he said.
“Well, here’s the thing: if you read Romans, Chapter 1 in context, that God gave them over to a reprobate mind”, Jimenez said.
YouTube users have responded angrily to numerous church’s videos in the last 24 hours, calling Jimenez a racist and a bigot. The church is reportedly showing up at funerals of those killed in the Orlando mass shooting. But we’re just saying this: If we lived in a righteous nation with a righteous government, then the government should be taking them.
A Baptist pastor from Sacramento has raised controversy after his sermon praised the Orlando nightclub attack.
‘The Bible says that homosexuals should be put to death… obviously, it’s not right for somebody to just shoot up the place because that’s not going through the proper channels, ‘ he said. And when people don’t have a heart connection with Jesus, the possibilities for evil are endless. The church regularly posts sermons by Jimenez on its YouTube page.
“I am not against people protesting”.
“Our society wants to classify everybody, it’s LBGT whatever”, Jimenez explained. “I don’t have an issue with that”.
The website also notes that gay people are not allowed to attend services at the Baptist Church. We don’t mind protesters being there.
‘We are an independent, fundamental, soul winning, separated, King James Bible believing Baptist church – and not ashamed to say so’.
