Salma Hayek Blasts Donald Trump for Anti-Mexican Comments

She continued by saying that the current scenario has exposed the discrimination level that still exists in America, “As American citizens we still don’t comprehend the level, and the magnitude, of the problem with discrimination in this country. But Salma Hayek does believe Donald Trump serves a positive goal in America, if only to demonstrate the discrimination that minorities face in America every day from people like Trump, who often get away with holding bigoted opinions.
The actress shared that her daughter Valentina wrote a poem after watching the movie.
Inspired by the classic book by Lebanese poet Kahlil, the movie follows the story of Almitra, a headstrong girl who forms a friendship with the imprisoned poet Mustafa, voiced by Liam Neeson.
“The Prophet” is set to come out in theaters in New York and Los Angeles on August 7 and be released nationally later that month.
