There were reports in the Pakistan media that Sharif had urged Kerry at their Sunday meeting for U.S. intervention to resolve the Kashmir issue.

Moreover, Pakistan’s current biggest ally, China, has hinted that terrorism is hindering CPEC, or China Pakistan Economic Corridor, which runs through Gilgit Baltistan, part of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. France too issued a statement that strongly supported the Indian position, noting that India is a victim of terrorism. “We have adopted a comprehensive export control regime that is fully consistent with global standards”, the Pakistan Prime Minister said. Talks are no favour to Pakistan, they are in interest of both countries.
