Sam Bradford suffers hand injury, returns to game
While the pre-game and halftime festivities will spark something special for the Vikings, the main aim will be on the field in a bid to go 2-0 after defeating the Titans 25-16 in week 1.
After that, the Packers won four straight Sunday night contests vs. the Vikings before dropping last season’s Week 17 division-title showdown at Lambeau Field.
Minnesota is expected to start Sam Bradford at quarterback, who joined the team right before the start of the regular season.
So it’s no wonder the Packers won’t be lulled into a false sense of security based on Peterson’s slow start last week.
The Packers held the Jaguars to 48 yards rushing but were burned for 320 yards through the air.
After being acquired September 3 from Philadelphia, Bradford was earmarked to at one point replace Teddy Bridgewater, ruled out for the season with a knee injury suffered August 30 in practice.
I do love Aaron Rodgers and think he’s the best quarterback in the National Football League, but this Vikings defense will have something to say about that. Now to play on the road again in a rivalry game before a stadium-opening throng is one tough assignment.

The Vikings weren’t able to clear out the middle of the Titans’ defense, allowing the outside linebackers to swarm and box Peterson in.
The Packers’ inactive list only contains six names this week, because the team’s active roster has just 52 players.
Reserve Josh Hawkins will also miss the Vikings game with a hamstring injury. He was briefly replaced by backup Shaun Hill, but Bradford did return to the game. Or will the Vikings, even without injured quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, manage to pull out a second consecutive victory over the Packers after ending last season with a win over their rivals from Wisconsin?
