Samardzija can’t hold on, as Chicago White Sox lose to Tigers

The Tigers have seen an uptick in scoring as of late, averaging 5.6 runs during the last 10 games compared to their season average of 4.3 runs per game.

Detroit and Chicago were one of three games on the Major League slate to be postponed by rain Saturday.

But to me, the best thing he did in his eight years as Tigers’ manager was command the respect of the guys that played for him, kept the clubhouse in check and never threw his team under the bus. The White Sox haven’t had the 2015 many had hoped for and expected, but are in position to build for the future with trade deadline options galore.
