Samsung announces the Galaxy S9 with ‘the most advanced camera ever’
They follow the same bezel-less design of the S8 line.
The Galaxy S9+ will have a dual camera setup.
Stereo speakers: A pretty big change will be speakers on the bottom and top of the phone, according to a recent report from ETNews via 9to5Google. The Galaxy S9 is priced at £739 and both devices will go on sale in the United Kingdom on March 16. Wide open, the camera gathers more light in dim situations at a fast f/1.5 aperture. These figures are based exclusively on current exchange rates; they show, to give you an idea of how cheap or expensive prices for the two phones in euros. The camera features a dedicated image processing engine that can combine up to 12 images into one, high-quality photograph with dramatically improved noise reduction technology.
The new camera also has a new super slow-motion function capable of shooting at an incredible 960 frames per second, turning a 0.2 second event into six seconds of normal film. The smartphone can also be used as a trackpad or a keyboard to edit those serious office presentations. Both the smartphones come with varying apertures called dual apertures. This makes the S9 series 1.8 times louder than its predecessor.
Samsung has also beefed up its artificial intelligence assistant on the devices, with Bixby now able to generate information about an object the camera is pointing at and translate foreign languages live. After capturing the Super Slow-mo video, users can select background music from 35 different options or add a tune from their favorite playlist. The S8 and S8+ smartphones cost $1,148 and $1,298 respectively when they were launched a year ago.
Storage: The S9 has 64 gigabytes (GB) of storage built in, with expansion allowing for up to 400GB of additional space. The latter can now support storage cards of up to 400MB. The smartphones will support IP68 rated water and dust proof housings, Iris scanners and fingerprint sensors. The S9+ comes with a dual back camera, both 12 megapixels, with dynamic aperture that adjusts between f/2.4 and f/1.5 depending on the light conditions.
Much like Apple Animoji, Samsung has introduced AR Emoji. The S9+ features a 6.2-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED screen. It has the same resolution as its smaller counterpart. However, several leaks, including one of the Galaxy S9’s box, revealed specs that include the feature. Right from the camera app, you can switch between the two apertures easily. I’m looking forward to putting it in a three-way death match versus the Pixel 2 and iPhone X, both of which have a fixed aperture.
Those who order before 7 March with receive their devices on 9 March.
