Samsung Galaxy A9 with Snapdragon 620 SoC, 3GB RAM passes Bluetooth Certification
The Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to run either an Exynos 7422, Exynos 8890, or Snapdragon 820 chipset. There isn’t any info about which features are going to be available on the new phone just yet, but there has been plenty of speculation.
Samsung is offering a US$50 rebate to new users who add a card to Samsung Pay. That’s $699 for the 32GB model and $779 for 64GB. The Samsung Galaxy S7 is also rumored to apply a form of Force Touch, dubbed ClearForce, have a 20-megapixel camera with RAW support. and a USB-Type C charging port.
No worries about all these features draining the battery – the Gear S2 promises a battery that can last up to two to three days before needing a recharge, which can be done via the wireless charging dock.
The first piece of hardware any user interacts with is the display, we are not 100% sure on its size, we have reasons to believe that it will have a function similar to Apple’s 3D Touch.
Samsung has also been making improvements to its voice assistant, Google Now.
Multiple unconfirmed reports around the web and from SamMobile have suggested that Samsung is working hard to deliver phones quicker than ever before, and beating its competition to the market in order to sell more smartphones.
Then, of course, there’s Android Pay.
If this leak is accurate, we won’t be seeing the new Galaxy S7 until late February, with a release date being sometime in March.
Mobile World Congress next year will take place starting February 22 until February 26, while Samsung is planning to hold its Galaxy Unpacked event on February 21, a day before MWC 2016 kicks off. In comparison, MWC 2015 was held on March 2, while the South Korean company held their Galaxy Unpacked event a day earlier. “We’ve seen this kind of technology work well on the new Nexus phones, their camera has a 1/2.3” sensor with 12.3 MP resolution.
