Samsung Galaxy Golden 3 Spotted In TENAA
As yet there are no details on whether the device will be for China only or whether Samsung will launch it in more countries. Powered by an octa-core 2.1GHz processor, it features 3GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage (non-expandable). GFXBench, on the other hand, had the measurements pegged at 4.6-inches.
Running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box, the Galaxy Golden 3 comes with a 16-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter.
The golden colored Flip phone has a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The clamshell smartphone will measure 120.4 x 61 x 15.1mm and weigh in at a hefty 204 grams. A flip phone is usually much thicker than the average slab-type handset, which is why the Galaxy Golden 3’s bulk doesn’t really come much of a surpirse. Moreover, the South Korean company is also one of the fewest to out smartphones that feature a flip form factor. The device has now been certified by China’s TENAA, which means there are high chances of the smartphone going official soon.
While there might be no such thing as a free lunch, free swag definitely does exist-if you’re interested in buying a Samsung Galaxy phone, that is. New and existing Sprint customers can also take advantage of a special offer to lease a new Samsung Galaxy S6 32GB smartphone for $10 per month or the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 32GB for $17 per month with the trade-in of a qualifying smartphone. The latter carried over much of its predecessor’s design but with 3.9-inch HD Super AMOLED screens and the Snapdragon 801 SoC clocked at 2.5GHz under the hood, per SamMobile.
When Samsung’s Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge launched earlier this year, they struggled to keep up with the iPhone in terms of sales, according to data The Wall Street Journal highlighted from Hong Kong-based firm Counterpoint Technology Market Research.
Those trading in an iPhone for a Galaxy phone will get $100 in Google Play credit, too.
