Samsung Galaxy J1 2016 Edition Launched: Here’s Why People Already Hate It!
Samsung has launched new TouchWiz themes for the second-generation Galaxy A-Series smartphones. Qualcomm lost the Galaxy S6 to Samsung’s own Exynos chipset recently, while LG opted for a slower chip, the 808, for its G4 and V10 mobile devices. It was initially speculated that this year, we will be seeing four types of S7 but it looks like we were all wrong. But as for the display, S7 edge will offer a larger 5’5-inch curved display while the flat one will be the same as last year’s.
The Samsung Galaxy S7, or at least the variant displayed here will be coming out with a 12-megapixel Britecell sensor along with a 5-megapixel front camera.
In a benchmark test verifying the reports of the Samsung Galaxy S7 featuring the Snapdragon 820, a post on Weibo has thrown some light on the device.
Storage-wise, the Samsung Galaxy J1 2016’s memory is set at 1GB, with 8GB of onboard storage. 32 GB and 64 GB are the available storage options with the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, but with Samsung lacking expandable storage, users will have to settle with higher storage iteration to cover their needs. Right now the resolution for 2015’s flagships is at 2560×1440.
Earlier, courtesy 9to5Mac, we learnt that Galaxy S7 may also contain a pressure sensitive display just like the ones in iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.
Samsung has also reduced the page scrolling speed in the new beta version. It is said to come with a 3,000mAh battery. But this rumor seems unlikely because Samsung seems to favor making its devices thinner, which is actually not conducive to fitting larger batteries.
Both these modes did a similar thing to Live Photos – Animated GIF in particular – but were never pushed as a big feature of the phone. The Galaxy S7 is looking to change all that while keeping the design aesthetics of the Galaxy S6 intact.
