Samsung Galaxy Note 7 coming with iris scanner

A United States version will feature a Snapdragon 820 process while the rest of the world will get the Exynos chipset. Samsung skipped the numbers for obvious reasons – to avoid the confusion buyers had when it came to the Note and S flagships each year. The battery on the Galaxy Note 7 is a 3500mAh battery, up from the 3000mAh one used in the Galaxy Note 5 smartphone. Users also can expand storage up to 256GB through microSD card use the same slot for the SIM-card just like they had done on the Galaxy S7 edge. Coming to the camera, Galaxy Note 7 features “Dual Pixel” 12-megapixel OIS (optical image stabilisation) with an f/1.7 aperture and dual-LED flash.

After last year’s Note 5 didn’t make it to Europe it seems Samsung aren’t making the same mistake again. He also forecasted 10 percent decrease to 3.9 trillion in the third quarter operating profit of Samsung’s mobile business. To ensure that the phone remains safe from water and dust, it has IP68-grade dust and water proofing. In addition, iPhone 7 will have revamped antenna lines, new cameras and 3.5mm headphone port. It will also be a water-resistant device with wireless charging technology. The headset supports the new USB-C connection of the Note 7, but an included micro-USB adapter ensures backwards compatibility with all the phones that worked with the prior version of the headset (details on Gear VR versions and compatible phones here). Samsung has enhanced the security feature on the device by adding Iris scanner along with the fingerprint recognition. The secondary front camera is for scanning your eyeball, specifically your iris. The button’s position has also been lowered and the sensitively has been doubled for better response. You can’t even get it in past the “Samsung” logo.

The Note7 is available to pre-order from selected carriers now, and will be in stores August 19, with pricing around $1050 CAD.

We have seen plenty of leaks and rumours in the past, but surprisingly, Samsung did manage to keep a few secrets. Otherwise, the Note 7 launches nationwide on Friday 2 September.
