Samsung Galaxy Note5, S6 Edge+ Announced
Samsung unveiled two new smartphones at their Galaxy unpacked event yesterday, the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+.
Both phones feature a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screen and increased RAM up to 4GB. For our European customers, Samsung’s portfolio will be centred on the Galaxy S6 edge+ which we feel better caters to the market’s needs. The Question is which do you prefer, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ or the Galaxy Note 5?
But the Galaxy S6 Edge+ could be the sweet spot for folks who want the nice curves without going all out for a larger, less pocket-friendly Galaxy Note.
However, in an update of their report, a Samsung representative clarified the listing and told the source that the two devices “are only available in 32 GB and 64 GB models“.
For those interested with the Samsung’s new phablet, it is already available for pre-order from all four major U.S. carriers.
Samsung claims the Note 5 has received an upgrade in ergonomic design to be more comfortable to hold.
Thinner and slimmer than its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 5 allows users to take notes on their devices even when the display is off to save ideas that just popped into their heads.
The S6 Edge Plus has a curved screen on one side of the phone and is set to cost over €800 in Ireland.
Storage: Samsung introduced the Galaxy Note 5 in 32GB and 64GB variants.
On the back, the phone has a 16 MP camera, with f/1.9 aperture and optical image stabilization, while on the front we’re looking at a 5 MP selfie unit. Samsung also confirmed that Samsung Pay will start in the US in September.
The S6 Edge+ also comes with a free six month subscription with Google Play Music, and so do the S6 and the S6 Edge.
