Samsung Galaxy S7 – know the details and the release date
Samsung is expected reveal its latest Galaxy smartphones on stage at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 has had its fair share of renders, but a new pair of leaked photos give us the clearest view yet of the flagships in-hand ahead of their 21 February launch.
A few weeks ago Samsung announced that Galaxy A9 Pro is in the works, a superior variant of the Galaxy A9 (2016), although Samsung hasn’t officially announcing any specifications or how it would be different from the Galaxy A9 (2016).
The users of the Samsung Galaxy S7 are expected to enjoy the benefits of a “pressure sensitive screen”, which is expected to help Samsung combat the competition it faces from the current generation of iPhones. Considering that that the Note 5 is one of the most recently released phones along with the Galaxy S6 Edge +, then it looks like an Android upgrade for the latest in Samsung’s devices is imminent.
The first photo comes from ReviewDao.vn, showing the rear of the standard S7.
According to Forbes, the leaked images from Weibo didn’t exactly showcase a Galaxy S7 with extraordinary design. The other reason may be the lukewarm response in Europe for the Samsung flagship Galaxy S6 Edge+ released past year. Samsung began testing its first Marshmallow betas with Galaxy S6 series devices last December.
According to the source, Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge will be introduced in Vietnam on March 3 and will be available for purchase on March 18. The S7 Edge appears to keep its curved display. It is expected to either have the new Samsung made Exynos 8890 processor or Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 820 chipset. It will still charge of course, but it can’t double the battery life. The leak also mentioned prices of the new phones. The device will come with other features such as the sensors which include the accelerometer, compass, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
