Samsung Galaxy S8: 5 Features That Justify Its Extremely High Price
New images shared by Evan Blass reveal a few colors that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will don when it hits the market. The rendered Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus fit perfectly with Samsung’s silhouetted teaser video, showing a curved display with thin bezels bookending the top and bottom parts of the handset.
Samsung is expected to host an “Unpacked” event on March 29, where it will officially take the wraps off the new Galaxy smartphones.
Given that Samsung has openly mocked Apple’s controversial decision to drop the headphone jack from the iPhone 7, it seems safe to assume that the S8 will offer the familiar audio connection.
New images of the Samsung Galaxy S8 along with pricing information and colour options have been leaked online. This technology has been rumored to debut on both the iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
The report squares to the earlier rumors which also suggested the Galaxy S8 will feature facial recognition technology along with iris scanning capabilities.
With this move, Samsung may steadily compete with the likes of Google Assistant and Siri. In the meantime, we’ve seen a barrage of leaks and renders featuring the unannounced handsets. Samsung appears to be building on its iris-scanning technology it debuted a year ago on the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7 and expanding its use. It reiterates all previous rumours of a large dual-edge curved display, the fingerprint scanner at the back, the dedicated Bixby button, and the Samsung logo at the back. The front-facing 8MP camera shoots selfies and handles video chats, while equipped with an aperture of f/1.7.
Battery life is, again, not something I expected to be a high point of a phone that sells itself as sitting in the middle of Samsung’s Galaxy smartphone range but well, here we are.
